Founded in 1982 by Marvin Gerber, a former educator who understood the unique needs of a student tour, Gerber Tours is a company rooted in the belief that enriching students’ lives through educational travel is vital to their learning experiences. At Gerber Tours, we believe that travel should always be safe and well-planned for everyone involved. Marvin’s son, Judd Gerber, President of Gerber Tours, Inc., served as SYTA president (2004-2005).  During his term, Judd helped create and implement SYTA safety and liability requirements for youth travel operators.  Members are required to adhere to a code of ethics higher than industry-standard, maintain the proper insurance for customers, vendors, and employees, have sound operating procedures, and provide strict safety measures for each participant.
